Community
Without the support of my community, I simply wouldn't be able to do what I love most. Giving back to the community that has shown me acceptance, appreciation, and connection is incredibly important to me. Each year, I join a team of photographers, graphic artists, and publishers to create 'The Valley Faces of Business". It is a Rotary Club Project that has raised over $900,000 for community projects and supports by helping local businesses advertise what they do best.
Check out the gallery to see some of the incredible folks right here in the Valley. Their commitment to helping our community. I'm looking forward to gearing up for my 4th year on the project. Want to take part in the project too by advertising your business?

Advocacy
Doing what's right and helping those give vision to their voices is important to me. I've worked on many marketing campaigns to help raise awareness, build communities, and raise money for their organizations. Check out one of my favourite campaigns "Painting the Road to Inclusion" in partnership with People First of Nova Scotia.
In the gallery you'll find the behind the scenes sneak peeks, the making of, the social graphics, and the images in action. Check it out below:
The Heart of the Valley
Everyday people in our neighborhood volunteer their time and talents to make our community what it is. The Macdonald Museum and those that support it help make this town feel like 'home'. From preserving the town's history to community events, the museum is a busy place where you can always find friends.
In the gallery you'll find a few folks that help make the museum what it is.
Annapolis Valley Camera Club
Formerly known as the Greenwood Camera Club, we are a diverse group of photography enthusiast. From ameautur to professional we all bring something different to the table. Our members have experience in portrait to landscape, from experimental to fine art, and across all forms of media. Our group hosts bi weekly meetings (free to attend) and some fun events and outings (small fee for venue rentals) throughout the year. Use the form below if you'd like the latest updates on what's coming up for the club. Hope to see you there!
In the past we have hosted community photography contests and gallery exhibits with the Macdonald Museum in Middleton, welcomed a variety of speakers and presenters, had opportunities to try new and various pieces of equipment, and have enjoyed many discussions and excursions.

2024 is the launch of the Annapolis Valley Modeling Network. This series of events hosts models, photographers, HMUA's, fashion designers, and many other creatives, both amatuer and professional coming together to collaborate and create. By hosting these events, we grow professionally, build new friendships, and encourage community development, promote tourism establishments, and heritage preservation through facility rentals. This program has been inspired by the Photowalk Atlantic organization and with Isaac's blessing is being recreated here. Check out their Instagram page, and maybe you'll be able to spot some of my work over there:
